About Department
Agricultural Mechanization department was set up in 1958, in the Engineering College Workshops, Peshawar University. The objective was to disseminate applied agricultural engineering knowledge to students in College of Agriculture. Service courses in farm mechanics were taught at different levels to all students on shop practices, survey, farm power and machinery since the beginning. The department developed curriculum for specialization B.Sc.(Hons) and M.Sc.(Hons) in agricultural mechanization in February 1981. About 32 students graduated from the department in agricultural mechanization and water management.
